BT Exhibitions and Budding Scientists!

Environmental project:

"A Greener Tee"

Boys from castleknock college (Ben Healy and Jake Killeen) created a golfing Tee made out of seaweed, which is 100% biodegradable and when tested was stronger and more effective than the standard wooden tees. They had video on their stand showing them testing each type of golfing tee, which was great!

"Funnest project":

"Let The Snails Do The Cleaning"

In this project they had two fish tanks, one with snails and one without. As a result the snails kept their habitat clean, and the other tank got very dirty. This girls had both tanks on display at the stand.

Festive Feelings & TY trips!

Our festive trips started off on December the 10th, as we headed into town to support the ISPCC's

"Holly Day"

Many schools around the area help out with the campaign. For this we were asked to go in groups if two, and given a shop to stand beside on major shopping streets. While standing we were to try and sell holly pins to shoppers passing by. A few of us got a little carried away and started to encourage people to buy using mottos from the ISPCC from the past, which then trended as loads of our class mates joined in. Overall it was a great day, and very productive for the ISPCC.

There was also a big water protest in town that day and of course we got caught in the middle of it! The atmosphere was unreal, absolutely brilliant.

The Next Christmassy trip was to see

"Elf"

preformed in the Bord Gais Energy theatre. It was a great performance, and really got the whole year a case of the "Christmas Fever" which was brilliant.
